Jay's Transition Fund

Hey everyone, my name's Jay! My pronouns are she/they, and I am a Black Indigenous non-binary trans woman from Arizona. Last year, I came out as transgender to my friends and family and started hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in May 2020. For a long time, I've been uncomfortable with my body and my assigned gender at birth, but like many of my queer kin, I had to suppress that identity as a survival mechanism for many years before being able to honestly explore my gender and sexuality. Thankfully, that isn't the case for me anymore, and I can finally live as my authentic self.

While I've transitioned socially, I still feel an immense amount of physical dysphoria due to things that I can't change just with HRT, and I'm not gonna sugarcoat this: It hurts. It hurts so bad that sometimes it's all I feel in the moment, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemies. As a result, I'm pursuing gender confirmation surgery as soon as I can afford it. Coming from a very poor background, I am unable to pay for the cost of the procedure myself, and I kindly ask anyone to donate if they can and to share this campaign with as many people as possible to make my dreams a reality. Any funds that exceed the cost of the surgery will go towards fees for changing my name/gender marker, transportation to surgery, and other gender-affirming procedures.
