It is with deep sadness that our family must share the passing of my little sister Jaysha Renee O’neal. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, cousin & friend. Despite the fact we’ve gained an angel, this loss feels way too soon for us all. Although Jaysha was petite, she held deep strength within and fought a tough fight. Early last year in 2021, Jaysha underwent an intense spinal surgery after the discovery of neurofibroma. Following her surgery, she was still mobile but needed the dependence of a cane to get around. Being as young, eager and curious as she was. A cane couldn’t stop her from living her life best life. She continued to spend time with family, sharing jokes and laughs despite her situation. A few months later an unfortunate wave of pain overcame her body, Jaysha began suffering severe knee and back pain that she could no longer bare. She was then admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center in September of 2021. After running multiple tests, it took time before doctors could discover a more accurate diagnosis. Jaysha was connected to multiple machines and tubes while celebrating the holidays hospitalized. She spent Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and her 27th birthday along side long visits from her mother Catherine O’Neal & family, depending on nurses and doctors to bring her some type of good news.
It was tough seeing one of the tiniest but strongest people we know to be under these harsh circumstances. Jaysha loved traveling, visited many places with one of her brothers Jaquan O’Neal. Even while she was undergoing treatment and the daily life advantages that many take for granted have been taken from her, that didn’t change her personality or perspective on how she wanted to keep up with herself. She would love to hear jokes from her brother Jay O’Neal and was determined to still get her hair slayed by her sister Joneal O’Neal. Made numerous YouTube videos with her niece, nephews and close relatives. Prior to this tragedy nothing was stopping Jaysha from her determination of fulfilling her vision of a better life. She was working at a law firm while also attending college only two semesters away from graduating with her bachelors.
Throughout the years of Covid and prior to, Jaysha along side her family had some tough battles that they over came together . In her final moment on earth Jaysha took her last breath along side family in July 4th 2022 at 5:21pm. As fireworks roamed the night sky throughout the country, what better way to celebrate her eternal life. We would like to grant Jaysha glamorous entry into gaining her wings. She enjoyed her time alone and loved her peace and tranquility. She is now no longer suffering or in pain.
Please share her story and every donation is acceptable. This donation will be for Jaysha’s family to cover costs of funeral expense debt and no donation is too small. Please pass this link on even if you are unable to donate, every share counts.
