I'm 30 years old, an active athletic male just headed back to college to get my Engineering degree, in my first semester.   I went to the doctor for a check up and learned that I had a lump in my scrotum.  It was a nightmare come true.  I went for the ultra sound and they confirmed it was a canerous tumor that needed to be removed.   I found this out the day before my mother's dramatic hip replacement surgery.   My mom is the queen of my life because she is my only immediate family.  She has had a dramatic amount of her own health issues in her past.  She is one of the strongest people I know.  I broke the news to her that on the day after her surgery, they would be removing my left testicle due to the diagnosis.  She was mortified.  Her surgery went well, and she is slowly recovering still.   I went through my own surgery, which went well.  I still have to have chemo treatment.  That is where my status is now.  I am very weak, unable to go to school for at least the rest of the year at minimum, nor work.  I have an apartment in downtown Cleveland that I am trying to sustain with the help of some friends.  It's not easy, though.  I cannot go to work, not even Uber or Lyft because I'm restricted from being around the general public for a couple of months.  Chemo aparently breaks down your immune system and  can cause all kinds of issues.  Now the medical bills are rolling in.  My insurance so far has only covered a standard deduction.  With my restrictions on travel, it also holds me back from being able to accept some alternate work, as well.  That is why I'm asking for so much cashflow.  After my Chemo is complete, I will be able to move forward with my education once again so I can better the world through engineering. It stinks when you get your feet off the ground and then suddenly your health knocks you down to the level that you can barely live. I've been through good times and bad times, however this is a financial gap that I cannot control. With this money I'll be able to sustain my living situation while improving my health.  Thank you for your consideration.
