Jaymee's Fearless Fight Against Cancer

Donation protected
In the Summer of 2021, Jaymee Dale was diagnosed with Mantel B Cell Lymphoma Stage IV, and rare and aggressive cancer believed to be caused by Pyrethroids sprayed in her apartment every week for six months. She was told by the management the spraying was harmless. However, her dear Willy aka @cybercat919, a member of Twitter’s fabulous Anipal community since 2009, soon passed away. Jaymee’s own diagnosis followed, with doctors telling her the cancer is so aggressive, she may have six months to a year, even with chemo.
However, Jayme is a fighter. A woman of strong faith, she has spent a long career caring for others as a nurse and a chiropractic doctor. She wants to enjoy every moment God blesses her with in this world. This cancer diagnosis is truly ironic because Jayme has always embraced a healthy lifestyle by running, working out at the gym, and eating a whole food plant-based diet, as well as following a Vegan diet for the past five years.
In December Jayme began a specific anti-cancer program with strong supplements. She flew from Boise, Idaho to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas for a grueling week of tests and treatments. Unfortunately, treatment is unavailable in Idaho for the aggressive type of cancer Jaymee has. It was there she learned the cancer had progressed very quickly and metastasized to her left hip and is pressing on her heart.
In January Jayme was diagnosed with Covid, sending her twice to the ER with fever and dehydration, but thankfully no breathing difficulties. She trusts God will continue to give her strength.
Jaymee’s faith is very strong. She says she is lucky to be given a time frame to get things in order. She says it makes a difference in how she sees life when she can see her mortality. And yet she also hopes the specialized treatment will help squelch this disease and stop the growth. She says her Houston Oncologist is amazing. It wasn’t luck that pared her with him, it was God’s blessing.
Jaymee flies to Houston once a month for treatment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Angel Flight has been helping her with flights, but her travel coupons have been exhausted, and the cost of hotel and local travel expenses is out of her pocket. Her next treatment will be longer than the usual five days. They must admit her to the hospital as she is extremely sensitive to the Monoclonal Antibodies, having resulted in the past with two anaphylactic reactions.
Before being diagnosed with this aggressive cancer, Jaymee was debt free. But as of today, she has maxed out three credit cards, one of which has turned her into collections. The bills are staggering, and the supplements she needs are $600 a month, but not covered by any insurance. With Social Security going just so far, Jaymee feels extreme burden from both medical and financial stress.
Added to this, her Turkish Angora, Lady Katy Ivanna, has health issues, and needs to be removed from the apartment when the management insists on spraying for bugs. Yes, despite all that is happening to Jaymee, her apartment management is still going forward with spraying. She must leave her apartment for several days while they spray. To be exposed again to the chemicals will expedite her cancer growth.
If you feel upset and overwhelmed by reading Jaymee’s story, I’m sure you can imagine how she feels living through this incredible nightmare.
Her hotel expenses run about $130 a night. Most have a kitchenette where she can prepare her own food. She uses a hotel close enough to the cancer center to be able to Uber back and forth.
As her Angel Flight coupons have exhausted, she must take commercial flights from Boise to Houston as private pilots cannot get their planes over the mountains. This is not a cheap venture, as Idaho cannot provide the vital treatment the doctors are doing at MD Anderson.
We have started this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of finances for Jaymee. She is an impressive fighter as she bravely faces the coming weeks and months with numerous doctor appointments, hospital stays and expensive treatments. Added to the normal costs of everyday living, such as rent, food, and gas, the medical costs of fighting for her life are astronomical.
This Go Fund Me will enable Jaymee to be able to concentrate on her Fearless Fight against Mantel B Cell Lymphoma Stage IV. We implore you to rally around this amazing woman to support her any way you can. No amount is too small.
