In September 2024, our 12-year-old son, Jayden (JJ), began experiencing “episodes” that we at first did not know what to make of. As time went on, they began to increase in frequency and length. In November, after seeking medical treatment, it was determined to be epilepsy, and the “episodes” were in fact seizures as his brain would misfire. We have been pursuing medical treatments in an attempt to control those seizures, as well as continuing testing to determine the source and nature of those episodes.

We would like to reach out to a holistic doctor who specializes in determining underlying issues that cause epilepsy and seizures. However, insurance does not cover this route of care. Therefore, we are reaching out, asking for support both through prayer and through financial assistance. We covet your prayers as we seek to understand what is happening and how best to treat it for his best possible care. This is uncharted territory for us, and we are certainly anxious and uncertain, but trusting God to lead us.

In order for us to pursue this holistic approach, we are also humbly asking for assistance to fund this course of care. The initial appointment alone is around $600. Subsequent visits and any potential care plan that comes out of it would cost additional. Thus, we are asking that if God would lay it upon your heart to help us, we would be most humbled and thankful for however you could assist. We are trusting God to give us strength to walk this journey with our son and thank you for your prayers and for considering how you might help financially.
