<div>Jayda was a 13-year-old Anishnaabe girl from Manitoulin Island who was in the child-welfare system all of her life. She was bright, talented, loved children, and had the most beautiful smile. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, great granddaughter, and auntie.

<div>We would like to fundraise to have a bursary available for Indigenous students going into post-secondary that have gone through the child-welfare system. We believe that a bursary in Jayda's name will help alleviate finances for students from Manitoulin Island.
