Help Jayaram Achieve His Dreams

Donation protected
Dear All:
I am Jayaram, a visually impaired student from Nepal. Currently, I am living in Littleton, Colorado.

I had a dream to come to the United States of America and pursue higher education. I have partially realized my dream, but part of the dream is still yet to come true. I’m grateful for the public donations that have enabled me to attend a six-month training called Independence Training Program through the Colorado Center for the Blind in Littleton. Being a blind person, I have faced numerous obstacles and challenges; however, I truly believe that I have the power to will my good fortune.

While living in Nepal, I studied Travel and Tourism Management. It was a very difficult journey because I had to depend on having material read to me, and rely on my memory and a scribe to score well on the test. Despite these hindrances, I earned my degree and received the top score among my classmates on the High School Examination Board assessment for my major.

Unfortunately, I am unable to continue my quest for a Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management degree at the university level because of a lack of accommodations for blind and visually impaired students in Nepal. With no alternative, the opportunity to study and obtain the degree I seek in America would be a dream come true and a tremendous asset for my future. Currently, at the Colorado Center for the Blind, I’m obtaining all the skills I need for independence, but I need financial assistance to attend an American university.

I have escaped the persecution I faced in Nepal where the blind are considered to be a curse of God to society and a disgrace to one’s family. My family viewed me as a waste of time, as someone who could never give back to the family. As a result, I was neglected and denied support of any kind. I have overcome so much and have a bright vision of the future for myself.

Despite the rejection from my family and people in Nepal, I want to fulfill my duty and strong desire to give something back. I hold no resentment against anyone; my only wish is to prove to my people that I can make a contribution, and although I cannot see the world, I have the ability to open people’s eyes to the potential of the blind. Only with the help of kind hearted people will I be able to realize these dreams. I need $18,000 to be on my way.

If you would like to know more about me or to get in contact, email [email redacted] or give me a call at 7203919710

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
