Living in St. Albert, Alberta, Jaya and Graham are not ones to ask for help. And yet, there comes a time when we all need help. This, for Jaya and Graham, is that time.
With 5 children between them (ages 22, 14, 4, 2 and the youngest just a few months old), their lives are busy and demanding.
Shortly after the birth of their son in July, Graham was diagnosed with throat cancer. He has had one surgery so far with another, far more invasive surgery to come. The surgery comes with a lot of risks including a strong potential for a temporary feeding tube. He will require a hospital stay of length yet unknown - it will all depend on how the surgery goes.
Regardless of the outcome, we know that Graham will likely require chemotherapy and radiation.
Until surgery, Jaya & Graham won't know what stage the cancer is at (although it is assumed to be stage III or IV), nor will they know what treatment will be required after surgery.
As a result, Jaya and Graham will have seriously reduced income. Jaya is a yoga teacher who relies on weekly classes for her income. Graham is the main income and he will be off for an undetermined amount of time.
All funds will go directly to Jaya and Graham and will be used for:
- Rent
- Groceries
- Bills
- Christmas & Birthdays
Funds will be withdrawn as needed by Amanda and sent to Jaya immediately.
Jaya is a long term, very beloved teacher of yoga and has been with Prana Yoga Studio for a decade. As a result, it seemed intuitive to set up this Go Fund Me on behalf of Prana.
No amount is too little and your help is greatly appreciated.
