Jay's Journey Home

Donation protected
Jay Lindahl has been fighting, "The Fight", for years.  The man with nine lives is a great description for him.  From being a diabetic, suffering multiple strokes and heart attacks since 2011, being part of a history making transplant chain in 2013, losing part of his foot, infections requiring multiple surgeries, and most recently having a triple bypass.

With Jay's most recent medical complication, he coded twice the day after surgery.  The trauma has put a lot of strain on his body, especially his kidney.  He has been on ventilation on and off, sedation, dialysis, a tracheotomy, and countless mediactions.  He makes small improvements daily with occasional steps back.

It is unknown how long Jay will remain in the hospital but we do know it will be multiple weeks.  It's uncertain at this point what his after care will be like.  He may need to be in a nursing home while recovering, he may need in home care, or both.

We all know Jay would give anyone the shirt off his back, that's who he is.  He'd give you his last dollar if you really needed it.  Jay is not one to ask for things, that's why we are asking for him.

Funds will go towards medical bills, support to help run his business, travel expenses for Connor and Kayden to visit their Dad, and his after care.  Connor was granted leave from South Korea where he is stationed in the military, to be here for Jay's surgery.  No amount is too small and will be appreciated more than can be expressed.  #jaysjourneyhome
