Jay's Acceptence Into Steppenwolf

 HELLO EVERYONE!

My name is James Mercer, and it has been my dream to become a GREAT ACTOR ever since I was a small boy. It has been quite a journey, one that brought me to Chicago back in October 2017.

While here with a dollar and a dream, I auditioned for The School at Steppenwolf (click the link for info on the program). It is a world renowned theatre that hosts a 10-week summer intensive for actors in different stages of their career. They want me to join their summer 2018 ensemble! YAY!!!!!!

Here's the thing: I NEED YOUR HELP TO ATTEND!!!!

When I moved to Chicago, I was fortunate enough to land a job with the Second City. Unfortunately, it was barely enough to cover rent and other costs of living. And trust I TRIED TO FIND MORE INCOME over the last 6 months with no success.

The program is Monday through Friday from 8am to 6:30pm, plus out of class rehearsals. This schedule does not allow me work nearly as much as I do now, so the purpose of this fundraiser is to pay for the cost of the program ($4,000) and to offset the costs of living (rent, utilities, food, transit fare) over the course of the 10 weeks.

This is an amazing opportunity, and I cannot do it without your help. I hope to one day pay your generosity forward.
