Earlier this year I walked 2,841 miles Coast to Coast solo across the U.S. starting from the Newport Beach Pier in CA to Tybee Island, GA in 79 days. Averaging 36 miles a day. Crushing my original goal of 100 days. (day 39 - 65 miles) (3/1-5/18)

It was absolutely AMAZING from crossing the desert during the super bloom to smelling the Atlantic Ocean for the first time in GA. Chasing sunrises and walking underneath the desert stars. Meeting the most incredible people along the way. A story I'll own for life.
It was also very dangerous. Sleeping on the sides of highways, dodging cars, being caught in the rain, the wind, having nowhere to hide from the sun, the coyotes keeping me up at night, snakes, spiders and even a bull and I loved every minute of it.
I now have first hand knowledge of the roads, obstacles and conditions one would face with such an ambitious goal. I know where I made my mistakes with my route, my diet and my equipment. I lost so much time in certain places just because I didn't know. Well now I do know and I don't plan on repeating any of those mistakes. I am very proud of my 79 day crossing with 36 mile average but I can do better. Knowing what I know now I feel I could be very competitive for the world record. I need your help for a second chance at this and if given it I'd like to help a children's charity. Not sure which one yet but let's help as many as possible.
Over the past four years I've quit smoking, drinking and I started making positive choices in my life. In 2017 I lost 50 lbs by eating healthy and exercise and decided it was time to pursue this childhood dream of walking across the United States. I trained and trained and I did it! Now I'd like to do it again. Not only changing my life but those around me. Inspiring as I go one step at a time.
