Meet Jaxon, the sweetest 12 year old boy with the biggest, most genuine heart. He is the type who consistently puts others before himself. Jaxon has seen and dealt with a lot in his short twelve years and his load is only getting heavier.
On Mother's Day, Jaxon was taken to get a CT scan of his head; in hopes that it would help explain the blinding headaches he had been experiencing. That CT scan revieled a 2" mass near his brain. He was immediately sent to Children's for further testing where an MRI confirmed a golf ball sized tumor that was resting on his spinal cord and putting pressure on his brain. It was later revealed that Jaxon has medullablastoma.
The tumor was removed and by no surprise, due to his rock star abilities, Jaxon is healing properly and is smiling through all of the pain he has had to endure.
Unfortunately, the road ahead is long and winding.
Once Jaxon has recovered from surgery, he will be heading to Mayo to receive proton radiation for 6 weeks. Radiation will be every day Monday- Friday while he will have the weekends at home. After he has healed from radiation, he is looking at 4 rounds of month long cycles of chemo.
With all of that being said, this sweet boy and his family need all of the love, help and support we can give.
We are raising funds to help with Jaxon's medical expenses. Any amount of gift you are able to give is greatly appreciated. We fully understand that financial donations are not in everyone's means therefor, prayers and positive thoughts are very appreciated as well.
