I am a fur mommy who streams and draws art. You may see me talk about my cats a lot on/off screen. Being a fur mommy is like raising your own children in a way.
HE NEEDS A BLOOD TRANSFUSION ASAP!!!!
I have a 1 year old car who I’ve had for almost 10 months. When I took Jax home for the first time, I was excited to bring in a new pet in the house. A month passes and I notice that Jax has abscess from his nonexistent eye (he got that taken out from an infection just being a couple months old). After that visit, a week had gone by and he’s having diarrhea. So I go to the doctor and he asks me to get a fecal sample. He had tapeworm. Another month goes by and I notice his stool isn’t getting any better. So I go to a different vet and asked what is wrong with him? I had to do another sample. He had giardia (another parasite). So I treated it and still notice diarrhea. I also noticed that all the fecal testing didn’t test for every illness and parasite on the receipts. I go back to the vet and we tried different food. Two months pass and I’m still not seeing progress. He has bloody stool. I go to a different vet and they give me another diet to try. We thought he had a food allergy because now his stool is normal.
In May I noticed that Jax is sleeping a lot. We thought he was sick from the diet. A week goes by again and I go to the vet because Jax is starting to wobble when he walks. I’d have to hold him while he was going to his litter box. I go to the vet to get a blood test and turns out he was anemic. They told me he is very, very ill. I reach out to his foster and he helped me with fluids and vitamins. We talk about it more and realize he probably has FIP and no food allergy.
Recently I started Jax on FIP shots. He has to have shots every day for 3 months straight. He has to do a lot of blood tests for 3 months (12 weeks). I’m not giving up on him. He’s so young. If you want to help donate for bills and medicine. I would love that. Every cent will count. I truly care for this boy.
Thank you.
