Jaw reconstruction for Mama Belle

Belle has one of the most heartbreaking stories we've come across at Happy Strays Rescue. We are trying desperately to give Belle the happy ending and pain free life she deserves. We received an email plea asking for rescue for Belle and her 3 babies. We were unable to take her in at that time, but things quickly fell into place for Belle! One of our incredible fosters found great adoptive homes for all of her foster kittens just a few days later, and she offered to step in to care for Belle and her kittens. Belle arrived at our rescue severely injured and we soon learned that Belle had given birth and tried her hardest to raise her three babies all while in unimaginable pain. She had head wounds and a badly broken jaw. For 7 weeks Belle lovingly cared for her babies, scooting them across the floor with her face because she could not lift them. We are heartbroken for Belle, and the pain she must have endured and in awe of her resilience, determination, forgiving spirit, and dedication to her kittens. We have been hitting road blocks every step of the way trying to access care for Belle. Her fractures are so severe and so old that no one has been willing to take on her case. Dr. Simon, with Simon Surgical is willing to take Belle on as a patient and perform a complete jaw reconstruction. They've been very generous, knowing Belle's circumstances and will perform the surgery plus spay while she's already under anesthesia for $5,300- which is an incredible price given the state of her jaw. I've attached the invoice from Belle's initial visit (the first line of the invoice is for one of her kittens who arrived with an eye infection), and several pictures of Belle and her little family. I will be attaching the itemized estimate from Simon Surgical as soon as I receive it. We would like to schedule her surgery for Monday, and are trying our best to make this happen for Belle!
