Pay It Forward: My Next Endeavor

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

My name is Javan Dominic Robinson. I'm a native of Dallas, TX and I am currently finishing my senior undergraduate year at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. My journey has been quite an adventure thus far. There have been numerous obstacles, but God has ALWAYS delivered and allowed me to surpass these obstacles.

At this point in my life, God has blessed me with the opportunity to attend Hult International Business School to receive my Masters of International Business in a one-year Global Rotation Program. What this program entails is the opportunity to choose and attend three out of the seven campuses Hult is encompassed of (Boston, San Francisco, New York, Miami, London, Dubai, & Shanghai) during my tenure. One of these three chosen campuses will be my home campus while the other two will be my travel campuses. I have chosen Boston as my home campus with London and Dubai as my travel campuses.
Most business undergraduates pursuing a Masters degree in Business have work experience before they apply for their Masters degree. Although I have work experience from my internship last summer, the reason why I decided to pursue my Masters in International Business immediately after I receive my undergrad degree is because I believe that once I begin to work, my fire and passion to work for others will be difficult to contain. I want to receive all the education I can before I pursue my career and ushering to give back. In essence, I don't believe in wasting time.

The obstacle that presents itself is my financial situation. Throughout my life thus far, everything I've accomplished, I've not accomplished alone. SEVERAL different people and organizations have propelled me to the position that I am in today. Without the loving people that surround me, I would not be where I am today. One of the main people who has dedicated so much of her life and time for me is my mother, Robbin Venita Robinson. The love that she has for me is and has been so powerful that it is the driving force in what I do, and why I do it, today. The reason I strive to receive a great education is to one day be able to be in a situation where I can not only give back to the people who gave so much to me, but to also give to those that are much less fortunate.

So now I'm here, asking that you donate whatever you can for the continuation of my journey because every dollar makes a huge difference, and every dollar places me in a better position to change the lives of young children in the same position that I am in.

"I am uniquely privileged to have been on both sides of the scholarship equation—as recipient and donor—and as grateful as I was for my Georgetown scholarship, I can tell you: it IS more blessed to give than to receive." - Alonzo Mourning (Georgetown College '92)

Thank you and God Bless.
