Everyone’s brother, Javan Sanders

The search for which picture to use for this, took longer than I’d like to admit. Like forever. Because Javan will never forgive me if I choose the wrong picture. In the end, I chose one that he would approve of, but where he also looks happy. Because if you knew Javan, you know that he was always laughing.

We lost our funny, happy, kind brother yesterday. More importantly, 5 sweet, smart and funny tiny humans lost their daddy.

If you have the ability to give, we’re asking. Our first priority will be to ensure that Javan is laid to rest and his children have somewhere that they can go and talk to him as they get older. The rest will be put into a trust, to be managed by a third party, and will go exclusively to his kids.

Thank you for all of the kind words and thoughts. Our thoughts are also with all of you, because Javan never met a stranger and everyone was family.

*These funds will be used specifically for cremation and funeral expenses and costs associated with a memorial service. Any money left after final arrangements will be transferred into a trust, managed by a third party, to be distributed between Javan’s children according to terms outlined in the trust. I will manage the transfer of the money into the trust established by an independent trust attorney and the family will be paying for funeral expenses and be reimbursed by funds from this account.
