Hi there, Im Amber! Jason and I worked together at Lakeway Resort for a little over 2 years and we instantly became such great friends.. or we like to say (Besties for the resties). Im starting this fundraiser because Jason and his wife Michele have always done whatever they could no matter what to help others in need and have never asked for anything in return... well, now its our time to help them! Here is a little backstory....
Jason was diagnosed with Melanoma skin Cancer on November 12th, 2020....
(can this year end already??) Fast forward to Tuesday, December 1st, he had surgery on his head to remove the remaining cancer and a few lymph nodes along with it to make sure there was no further spreading. It was a outpatient procedure, but man oh man...it is going to be a lengthy recovery. He currently still has some bleeding from the incision, so they are waiting to hear back from the doctors to make sure everything is okay. I will update everyone on here whenever I get them.
Jason and Michele have 3 sweet boys, Taylor, Landon and Grayson.. the two youngest still being in elementary so you can only imagine the stress they are going through right now making sure their needs are being met at the same time. Thankfully they do have health insurance, but their deductible is 10K.. thats a hard hit for anyone!
I am asking for all of us to come together to help this sweet family through these unimaginable times. Covid-19 has affected them personally with both their jobs being in the Spa industry and shut down. So, whatever you can give is more than enough, if its just leaving a sweet message, words of encouragement, reaching out to send a meal or funds to help them with groceries, monthly bills, gas and child care if needed, I know they will be so so thankful for you guys just being there for them.
