Very suddenly, last Friday, April 6, Jason was admitted to the Chester County Hospital with many symptoms that left everyone, including the doctors stumped. Jason is in a lot of pain. Of his many symptoms, Jason has been unable to feel the right side of his body and is experiencing short-term memory loss. Two spots (lesions) were discovered on Jason's brain.
To get him the diagnosis and answers needed, Jason was transferred to the University of Pennsylvania hospital on Tuesday, April 10 for more testing. The tests have been grueling. Current theories for Jason's diagnosis include a brain tumor, an infection or Multiple Sclerosis. Results are still pending but signs are leaning toward Jason having Multiple Sclerosis. This page will be updated with more information as we learn more.
The medical expenses that will be encountered by all of this will be very high for the Gregory family. Jason is unable to return to work at this time and will miss wages, while his wife, Onzelle, is also temporarily out of work while she cares for him. Onzelle has been living at the hospital with him while this is all happening. Her kids are staying with her mother. The costs for the hospital alone, possible in-patient and out-patient rehab, future medical costs are all very overwhelming for the family, especially with the loss of wages.
Anything you can contribute toward helping ease the burden of having to worry about finances while Jason is sick, would be greatly appreciated by their entire family.
Please keep Jason and his entire family in your prayers. We need to get Jason back up and running so he can go back to his favorite hobby - trains!
