Jason's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
Jason(age 3) was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL) just 2 months before his 4th birthday.  Jason was across town being admitted at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford, while Crystal , (Jason's mom) was still at Good Sam hospital. After having given birth to Emma Grace (Jason's wonderful new little sister) and crystal still having some complications.

The family needs help to raise money for hospital bills, ongoing treatments and tests. They have a long three year road ahead of them filled with many ups and downs. This means multiple trips a week to the Hospital, and there will be many hospital visits, doctor visits, hospital stays at times, bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures, chemo medical expenses, as well as other expenses, and for Jason's dad(Peter) loss of time from work.  Because the family is spending less time at home & more time traveling to the hospital, there is additional cost for gas and meals.

Jason also needs a lots of medical equipment at home because his lack of immunity. These are supplies for in home care such as; antibacterial stations by each door, wipes, gloves, paper towels, disinfectant, He needs paper cups and straws so he can have a fresh one every hour, to minimize bacteria. Preparing food, and serving it is quite different in order to keep it germ free. No shared food, even a chip bag. His food must be thrown away after 1 hour, including juices, so not bacteria growing. Lots straws, and disposable utensils are used as well as individual small containers. He can't eat anything older than 2 days even if it is refrigerated, and nothing that someone has eaten out of like a bowl of chips or a bag of crackers..Hand washing is constant, gel, antibacterial soaps, and hand sanitizers must be used constantly.  Jason needs lounge pants, and comfortable shirts with buttons, so his port can be accessed for treatments, and also toys or other distractions that can be used during hard days or tests. Then there is medication and supplies for traveling to the hospital;car sickness patches and anti-nausea meds, numbing cream to prepare for getting an IV, and masks that Jason has to wear whenever he leaves home.

Jason has a long tough road ahead of him but he will beat this!
