Help! We Lost our home to a fire!

Wednesday, July 5th, 9:00 AM: My good friend Jason and his wife of three years Virginia have just relocated back to Chicago after several years of living in the South Florida area when an unexpected disaster came out of the blue for them. As you may have seen on the news, a huge three-alarm fire devastated several apartment buildings on the 1800 block of North Kimball Avenue Wednesday morning (July 5th) about 9:15 AM. Jason and Virginia had just moved into their apartment on Saturday morning, July 1st. After the long drive from the Sarasota, they had only begun to unpack when the fire engulfed the building next to them in just minutes and spread so quickly to their building that they only had time to get themselves and their pets out before the building was burning and before smoke made the building impossible to re-enter in hopes of saving anything. Although Jason & Ginia are both very grateful that they and all their pets are unharmed--they are now without a home and most of their personal belongings are completely destroyed by smoke/water damage from fighting the fire. Both Jason and Ginia work from home over the internet and without a place to live (and computers/internet access) they are suffering a complete loss of income for at least some period of time. Although they have inspected the apartment after the fire--most of what has been removed is completely useless and they are really behind after the expense of the move and the loss of potential income. All of us who are supporting them know how badly they need assistance and would be grateful for any financial help you could provide to them. There is no doubt that they will recover quickly but right now--they are feeling overwhelmed and completely at a loss about what to do to get back on their feet. Please help with what you can--Jason has already promised me that he will keep every donor updated with their progress and if some of the funds are not needed he intends to give that back as he doesn't intend to burden anyone else due to their own needs. Any help would be received gratefully.
