Jason Sims Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
When Jason Sims came to this earth he came in a broken body. He was born with a congenital heart and lung defect. He had open heart surgery within days of being born, and has a scar from chest to back that he wore with a badge of honor. And while his body was broken and struggled to work, he was blessed with a stubborn spirit. A spirit fierce and ready to fight. Not expected to live 42 minutes, he fought the good fight, and we were lucky to have him with us for 42 years. His short life truly was a miracle.

His final struggle with his health was brief, and while surrounded by family at his bedside, Jason passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

Because of his physical disabilities, Jason was unable to work. He didn't have the ability to physically labor and was restricted in his activity. As the years passed, his abilities became less and less. This fundraising effort is to offset the cost of his funeral and to help relieve the financial burden from his family.

Those that knew Jason knew that his heart was big in service to others. He was quick to offer a friendly smile and a hello. He loved having conversations with those in the community and showed genuine concern about their well-being and happiness. He loved attending all sporting activities, even years beyond the time his siblings played for the Union Cougars.

Jason was a symbol of hope for anyone struggling, always willing to show compassion and understanding to anyone that needed it. Through his life-long health trials, he never complained about his health. He never asked "Why me?". His positive attitude is an inspiration to many.

Jason leaves behind his devoted wife, his children and his grandchildren (who called him Papa). He loved being a granddad and was so proud to tell anyone that would listen about being a granddad at such a young age. They brought him so much joy.

We need your help, financially and spiritually. Please consider donating to help Jason's family with his funeral costs -- and pray for them to feel comfort and strength through this difficult time during the holiday season. Thank you so very much in advance. We greatly appreciate your love and support.

If you are not able to donate, please share this campaign with those you know. We are forever grateful.
