Jason Nicholls' Cancer Fund

Donation protected
Jason Nicholls is an inspiration. He is an amazing father, husband, son, brother, friend, and proud member of the VMI class of ‘94.  He has been hit hard by cancer but is still fighting like a champ and keeping us all laughing.   His cancer is called Peripheral T Cell Lymphoma – Not Otherwise Specified (PTCL-NOS).  It is an aggressive cancer, known to relapse, and is rather rare - only about 4% of non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is this type.

To date, he has had 8 rounds of intensive chemotherapy. The attempt at an Auto Transplant (using his own cells) was cancelled because the cancer relapsed. Next month, he will undergo an Allo Transplant (using his sister’s stem cells). The transplant requires Jason and a caregiver to live in Baltimore for more than two months; longer if there are complications.  Due to his illness and the severity of this procedure, Jason will most likely be unable to work for a year.

The Nicholls family has agreed to let us set up this fundraiser on their behalf.  We are raising money to help them with their expenses (which include lodging, transportation, childcare, pet care, food, and general living expenses - none of which are covered by insurance), while he undergoes the Allo Transplant. Please consider donating on behalf of the wonderfully funny, Disney-loving, wildly entertaining, and all-around awesome human, Jason Nicholls. Every dollar helps.
