Jason William Kitzinger 49, of North Vernon IN, passed away at 11:23 am on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 in Indianapolis, IN from complications related to long-term quadriplegia.

Born in Columbus, IN on Jan. 24th, 1969, Jason graduated from Columbus North High School in 1987.  After that he earned the valued professional status of Journeyman Mold, Tool & Die Maker and worked in that trade for over 20 years, including time spent training apprentices in Japan.  Jason never hesitated to share his expertise in specialized welding techniques.

Jason had a passion for cars and motorcycles. He owned several Harley Davidson's from the time he got his motorcycle license until he was over 40 years old.  Jason also attained various black belt degrees in Taekwondo and enjoyed his favorite pastime as an avid deer hunter.

Jason’s very active life was abruptly cut short on November 17, 2007 after falling over 25 feet from a tree-stand, while hunting.  The remaining years of his life were dedicated to his daughter, family and friends. Ultimately, as a dedicated father, his main focus became guiding his daughter Jaida to adulthood.  His happiest day came as she graduated high school with honors last June.

One of Jason’s long-held goals was to become a Hells Angel and he stayed true to his club ideals for more than a decade after his injury. Jason was recognized as an asset to his charter by his Brothers and because of his dedication through great adversity, they proudly granted him posthumously a full membership in HAMC NOMADS INDIANA.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Jaida Margaret Kitzinger of North Vernon, Indiana; his mother, Dianna L. Kitzinger, his sister Tiffany (John) Pendl of Carmel; and his nephew, Joseph Spenser Pendl, also of Carmel, Indiana.  His father, Bill (Geo. William) Kitzinger preceded him in death on April 1st of 2012.

The Jason Kitzinger Memorial Fund will be used for all funeral and end of life financial responsibilities, under the direction of Jason's daughter.  If any monetary gifts remain, they will be used by Jason's daughter for education costs, unexpected personal expenses, housing or other needs. Please note that these gifts or donations are unsolicited and donors receive nothing in return for their generous gifts/donations.

Visitation will be on Oct 13. 2:00pm - 4:00pm
