On August 20th, 2017 while the world was watching for darkness from an event that comes once in a lifetime, we lost Jason who was a once in a lifetime personailty, to the darkness from within. For most of us, the darkness of that day has not gone away. He was a father, a son, a brother, a grandfather, and a friend. We are starting this gofund me so the family won't also have to face the finaical issues that come at a time like this, but to also share Jason's work.
A TRIBUTE TO JASON DYKSTRA
On any given day – in sunshine and stormy
weather – Jason would share what he saw
with the island, offering his beautiful perspective and sending out wishes to islanders to have
a wonderful day.
This print of island photos are just a few of the amazing sights he shared with us, with no additional editing – a tribute to Jason’s talent
and generosity.
Words can’t express the loss of Jason from our community, but perhaps his art can. Our hearts
are with his family and friends as they heal and remember him.

This art is being offered at cost, but all donations above the amounts listed will go to Jason's family. These pieces were offered at the Anderson Island Art Show for $200 for the ThinWrap and $30 for the poster, but we leave it to you to offer what you can, and want to make it affordable for all of Jason's friends and family to purchase this tribute.
About the production
We are printing these pieces through Bay Photo, a high-quality photography vendor who is dedicated to outstanding products. The ThinWrap is a frameless canvas-style mount, similar to what you would see in a gallery. Both the ThinWrap and the poster will be printed on metallic photo paper, which allows highlights to catch the light. We'd suggest matting and framing the posters to increase their longevity.
About the shipping cost
We'll be sending these to you directly from Bay Photo. Compared to other vendors, their care in packaging is high, and the art is very unlikely to be damaged in transit. In this day and age, it's hard to swallow shipping costs, but please know that the cost is worth it in this case.

Cost: $150 + $18 shipping & handling ($80 cost and the rest goes to Jason's family)
Get Jason's print on metallic photo paper, wrapped in a frameless style, and hung with a mounting block. This piece is ready to hang on the wall and looks like it belongs in a gallery.
2. 16x20 Poster
Cost: $40 + $9 shipping & handling ($30 cost and the rest goes to Jason's family)
A more affordable version, this print is also on metallic photo paper, but you would need to make the decision about how you will hang it.
