Jasmine's Battle against Osteosarcoma

Hello, my name is Katie and I'm fundraising for my niece, Jasmine. Jasmine is a hard-working, considerate, responsible, and compassionate person. She started college looking to become a social worker to better the world.

September of 2021 we had the difficult news of her osteorsarcoma diagnosis. Taking on her battle- head on, she has faced many challenges. She has had to have a 6" mass removed from her leg which led to physical therapy and limited mobility. Chemo has given her heart complications and the cancer has spread to her lungs. With 31 special doctor visits, 14 trips for labs, 3 MRIs, 7 echocardiograms, 8 xrays, 3 chest CTs, 2 platelet infusions, 3 ER visits, 13 bags of methotrexate, 8 bags of cisplatin, 6 bags of doxorubicin, and 81 days in the hospital her last treatment was June 4, 2022.

We were in good hopes for her results, but it was bad news. The pet scans have now shown a spot to double in size in 3 months along with another spot. Now she will have to have surgery in August with a 95% chance of the cancer returning. This means continued surgeries and recoveries.

UPDATE

The doctor wants her to do this surgery so they can do genetic testing on the tumor. He also said that her survival rate is 10%. He said this will be her last surgery and that she doesn't qualify for experimental trials, as most have not been successful. Our family is devastated by this. All monies donated to the go fund me will be used to make her dreams come true.
