Jarrod and Paige’s Mission Trip!

I'm excited to be sharing this post again! Means it's time to start prepping for Jamaica again! This is always a special time of year knowing that I will be heading back to see my Jamaica family and fellowshipping with my Chase Oaks crew!
I have made a promise to myself that I would go back to Jamaica each year to serve at the Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf with Mission Discovery. This is my 7th trip in the last 6 years, and it amazes me to see the progress that has been made each time we visit.
The first time I ventured off on this trip, I had no idea what to expect. I wanted to find answers to questions I didn't even know how to ask. I couldn't believe how time slowed down and I was able to really just focus on being present. God was by my side the entire time and it seemed like we were constantly having a conversation. He knew that's what I needed and he provided way more than I could have ever asked.
The following trips helped me grow more in my desire to be a leader and an example for Christ. It was no longer about me, it was about the team and the fellowship that we make with our brothers and sisters. My strong suit is not conversation or extroversion. That never mattered on these trips. I felt comfortable with any and everyone I met on the trip, as if I had known them for years. Not saying I initiated every conversation, but I tried more each time to be as outgoing as possible.
I am so thankful for the opportunities to go on these trips. I have shared my experience in person with my wife and cousin, as well as through conversations and pictures. All of the prayers and well-wishes that I receive before during and after the trip prove to me that I'm serving part of my calling.
I'm still in awe of the incredibly generous donations that I've received from friends, friends of friends, and family to help fund my trips. If it weren't for all of you, I'm not sure I would have been able to travel as many times as I have. I have not only been able to raise enough money to pay for the trip, I have been able to make extra donations to the kids and teachers of the school! So thank you again for helping me out!
I am reaching out again for prayers and monetary donations to support my trip this June. I set a number to be raised, but there is no cap. Any extra money I raise for the trip will be used for extra gifts or any other needs that the school may have. Please feel free to share this post with any and everyone you know, and thanks again for all your support!
