Jarin & Joseph Start Life Together

I met the man I'm going to marry on November 10th, 2001.  A mutual friend from Kentucky was visiting him at his home in Maryland, and I was invited down to meet them.

Twelve years later, on September 29, 2013, he asked me to marry him.  I said yes.

In the two years since then, we've been working on trying to make that work.  I've been trying to find a job in his area, and a place where we can live together.  We've had some setbacks along the way, including me being out of work for a while in early 2016 and subsequently working at a part-time and lower-paying job than my previous position, for the state of Virginia.

Most recently, at the tail end of July, my car caught fire on my way home from his house in Maryland.  There was no prior indication of trouble, it had just been on a trip up to Pennsylvania with no issues, and as far as we can tell it was an electrical problem.  But it was totalled, along with a lot of my possessions which were in it, including my jewelry making tools and supplies.

Just before Thanksgiving I managed, with the help of my roommate, to purchase a used vehicle.  It's been working very well - up until today.  Today I went to drive it home after a weekend at my fiancee's house, and as I was backing out of the driveway something broke and one of the front wheels turned completely sideways.  I'm told it will not be a cheap repair, though thankfully this time the car was not totalled and I didn't lose any possessions.

At about the same time, my fiancee is currently struggling with medical bills from an emergency dental surgery, medical tests, and other things.  And our savings have pretty much been wiped out.

I'm asking for help.  I'm asking, if you are able, to help us get our lives back on track.  Help me fix my car so that I can continue to look for work near my fiancee.  Help us pay off my fiancee's current medical bills, and prepare for his future top surgery (he's trans.)  Help us get a home together, and start our life together.
