Jarf's Recovery

Jeff Laughlin is a superb fellow who has spent much of 2017 fighting (and triumphing over) cancer. To be precise: stage two testicle cancer that invaded his lymph nodes.


His most recent operation was a doozy. Even after months of chemo, there was one pesky lymph node hiding behind his ribs that needed removal. In mid-August, it was taken out by surgeons in a procedure that’s about as invasive as open-heart surgery. (It’s called retroperitoneal lymph node dissection.)


Cancer isn't cheap. Major surgery isn't cheap. Jeff is still recovering physically. We can't help him with that — but we can help our buddy recover financially. It sucks to fret over medical bills while also stressing about bills, food and NYC rent.


As Jeff’s friends, we’re asking for donations that will help our buddy cover his medical costs while his body fully recovers. He didn’t ask us to do this. He’s cool like that. We just want to make this experience a bit less grueling.


America’s health care system (and its labor laws) are a mess — and cancer can happen to anyone.
