Jared, Cari, & Baby Everett

Jared, Cari, and Everett lost their home today in the Thomas Fire. They managed to evacuate in time, and they are all safe, but, in Jared's words - "Our home is a total loss - so devastating... We lost everything, nothing left. Our heads are spinning but we are trying to keep it together."
For those of you that don't know me, I am the office manager at the boat dealership Jared and his sister Jenna own together in Ventura. I have had the honor and privelege of working with Jared for almost four years now, and I can tell you honestly that he and his wife Cari are some of the most loving, generous, amazing people I know.
Friends, they lost literally everything, so they will need everything - clothes for each of them, everything necessary to care for an almost two year old (including diapers, wipes, clothing, etc.) The entire contents of their home - as well as the structure itself - was lost, so they will need to replace furnishings, dishes, utensils, pots, pans, etc. They literally have nothing - they are starting over from scratch.

Thank you so much to everyone who's donated so far. I'm amazed by the outpouring of love and support! To answer a few questions that have been asked: Jared and Cari are SAFE in and are currently staying with family in Orange County. At this time, they have nowhere to put donated materials (clothes, furniture, etc.) I will update you to let you know when this changes. In the meantime, any monetary donations are very much appreciated!
In order to make sure that this isn't a fraud fundraising event, GoFundMe requested I answer some specific questions on this page, so here goes:
1. I am Deanna Carmichael, located in Ventura County, approximately 35 miles east/southeast of the Thomas fire in Santa Paula.
2. I know Jared and Cari personally - I am employed at Inflatable Boat Specialists in Ventura (the business Jared owns) and have worked their with him for four years.
3. Funds will be spent on every day living expenses - gas, food, clothing, diapers, wipes, toiletries, etc. and may also be allocated toward any costs associated with finding a place to live while they rebuild their home (including but not limited to cost of rent, furnishings, housewares, etc).
4. Jared and Cari will have direct access to the funds raised; I am using GFM's platform to help raise the money, but I will not be involved in retrieving and/or getting the money to them. The Potts family will be able to sign on directly and let GFM know how they wish to receive the money raised.
