<div>Wij zijn Anak2 Maluku Nijverdal, een groep jongeren die zich inzet om onze Molukse cultuur, tradities en geschiedenis levend te houden. In 2026 is het 65 jaar geleden dat de eerste Molukkers naar Nijverdal kwamen. Dit bijzondere moment willen wij samen met de gemeenschap herdenken en vieren.

<div>Onze (groot)ouders kwamen destijds naar Nederland met de hoop tijdelijk te verblijven, maar moesten hun thuisland achterlaten en in een onbekend land een nieuw bestaan opbouwen. In moeilijke omstandigheden hebben zij, met veel kracht en doorzettingsvermogen, een gemeenschap opgebouwd die tot op de dag van vandaag een belangrijk deel vormt van Nijverdal. Met de herdenking willen we stilstaan bij hun verhaal: hun offers, hun hoop en hun doorzettingsvermogen. Maar we willen ook vieren hoe ver we samen zijn gekomen – met onze cultuur, onze muziek, onze dans en onze tradities die nog steeds voortleven.
