And so it has not delayed.
I cannot remember the first time I became enchanted with the vision of traveling; particularly to Paris. And with its romance and beauty I decorated my walls, my journals and dresser and spent 4 years learning the French language. On January 13th, 2016, I celebrated that I have been granted a quarter of a century on this Earth. But the celebration extends itself to June 7th-21st, because God has gifted me the opportunity to go where I have always longed to go! My heart is flushed with excitement! Not only because of the realization of youthful hopes and dreams but the continuing realization of God's perfect plan and perfect timing for my life.
It is no longer the romance and beauty of the city that brings me to it. It is now the romance with my Savior and the beauty of the people that moves me. God ordained this trip. I have gone to several countries with the hopes of moving people's hearts for God and meeting their needs in the short time I am with them. I have formed bonds, exchanged conversations of hope, played soccer, got dirty and grimy, and every time, I come home with a newfound zeal for the gospel and appreciation for their culture and mine. It is incredibly rewarding. I don't expect any less from this trip. Given the recent events in Paris, it is true confirmation that God pre-planned this trip as we minister to the affected community, extending God's love. I am especially thrilled to fall in love with a new country I have not understood I love yet-Spain. I cannot think of a better way to celebrate 25 years of being God's vessel than by being spent wherever He will have me. Though it seemed to delay, this year is a year that confirms that waiting patiently upon the Lord for the fulfillment of the process and preparation we must undergo, is a mark of maturity.
The team will be working on evangelism with new church planting programs in Sevilla, Granada and Madrid in Spain and in France we will be working to restore and extend God's love to the Muslim community in Paris. I am still short $1,600 from my initial $3,600 goal and it must be paid in full by the end of April.
I look forward to sharing the good news of what we achieved together in Europe-you and me, your seed and my fruit; celebrating that Jesus gave His life for the sake of Parisians and Spaniards.
