Help Janine w/a HUGE medical debt

As an adult that has never asked for help or handouts & as someone who works their ass off, I am actually in need of some help at this time. As many of you know I am seperating from my relationship of 13 years. I would never ask for help unless I truly need it. Right now I do and anything helps.
I have an outstanding medical debt that is about 12,000 with interest acrewing and a monthly payment that is through the roof!
While having issues with lady bits I was rushed in an ambulance to the ER out of state. I was told my insurance would cover it but it did not. The cost of this one visit was INSANE. I've fought it and tried to get out of it but instance didn't pay off.
As a single mother of two I now am seeing the disconnect between a full time Seattle public school teacher & the economic reality of living in Seattle. I work my ass off and still it is barely getting by. I hope I can clear this debt so that I can get re-established and not drown in this debts. In addition my income will go up 300 a month once it's cleared ! :)
Without getting into the logistics of my seperation I want you to all know that I rather suck it up and ask from any help from friends and family rather than making ugliness and hurting my ex financially.
