Janine Maddux was born on May 21, 1982, in Bishop, Calif. and passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif. In the early part of 2021, Janine's family found out that she was very sick. Janine's sickness is what eventually ended her life at an early age. Janine was 39. Janine was also a tribal member of the Lone Pine Paiute Shoshone Reservation, where she lived with her two children, Ricky and Amaya and her fiancé, Jevon.
For the majority of Janine's life, she lived in the small town of Lone Pine near her family and friends. Many people including her family and fiancé remember Janine as being a "jokester." Janine's fiancé, Jevon described her as being "very kind [and a] loving person." At one point in her life, she also aspired to be a writer.
In high school, Janine loved playing varsity volleyball and basketball. In volleyball, she was known as a "good server." As an adult, Janine loved fishing with her fiancé and her two children, Ricky and Amaya.
Currently, the family needs to raise money for her funeral expenses and any other pending hospital bills.
