Surgery for Dog Hit By A Car

This poor baby was hit by a car outside our office.  The driver of the car never stopped.  She did not have a collar or microchip.  She was lying in the middle of the street, unable to move and clearly in pain.  With some help, I loaded her into my car and took her to a nearby vet hospital. 

It appears she has two fractured legs that will need surgery.  If no one pays for the surgery she will be sent to the human society which will likely put her down.  I just cannot let her be put down when her condition is fixable but expensive. 

Please consider helping this little gal out by donating so we can pay for the necessary surgery which can run over $5,000.

I've named her Janeway since Star Trek was on my mind the day she was hit.


March 3, 2015 update: Janeway's liver function has improved.  She is in a lot of pain from her fractures but is probably stable enough now to have the surgery.  Any little bit would help!!
