Our mother, Janet Personette, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She received radiation treatment in April-May which reduced the tumors but the cancer continued to spread throughout other parts of her body. As of September 12, 2018 started receiving Hospice care.
Since moving to Niles in 1992 our mom has been an active force in the community. Volunteering and belonging to and actively involved in many groups and organizations which focus on helping others. While donating her time, to causes she believed in, she failed to think about herself. She did not prepare for her final expenses. She has no savings or life insurance. With her diagnosis coming suddenly we, her children, are unable and not prepared to pay for her final expenses.
As a result, we are asking for help from her friends, fellow organization members, and the various committee members. Please share this gofundme page with anyone whom you know worked with our mom. Our current count of groups, clubs and organizations she was involved with is up to 15... We don't even know where to begin in contacting members of all of them...
