JANE MCNAMARA'S CANCER BATTLE
Jane has a long history of fighting cancer. Her first cancer that she beat was cervical cancer in 1990. In 2001, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and, after chemo, a mastectomy, more chemo and then radiation, survived that cancer too. Jane is now battling a very aggressive Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma (UPS). It is the third bout since May, 2015. This cancer is 100% caused from the radiation treatment for her previous breast cancer. Jane is 1% of the population to get sarcoma from radiation. Two years ago Jane underwent a radical surgery to remove the first sarcoma from her chest wall area and then five months of vigorous chemotherapy. She has been watched closely since then at U of M where the second and now third sarcomas were diagnosed.
Jane is not only a devoted Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend, she is also a Mentor and Hero to so many. As many of you know, Jane owns two Jazzercise fitness franchises in Royal Oak and Troy. Jane has been giving back to the community since the year 2000 when she opened Royal Oak Jazzercise. Now she needs her community to help her because she is in the fight of her life battling this very aggressive form of cancer.
Jane is truly a warrior, but this battle is her biggest one yet and she needs HELP. Even with health insurance, her medical expenses are mounting and her treatments are extensive, further adding to the insurmountable debt. The financial worry and stress are taking a toll. We, Jane's family, are reaching out to you for help so that we can alleviate some of the stress so that she may concentrate on getting better.
