Hello everyone!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your donation consideration. My name is Jane Lumley and I am a finalist for Miss New York USA 2019. I have previously competed in my home state for the title of Miss New Hampshire Teen USA 2016, where I placed third runner-up, and for Miss New Hampshire Teen USA 2017 where I placed in the Top 10.
I am beyond excited to compete again, this time in the Miss division and in my new state! I moved to Brooklyn in September of 2017 to attend cosmetology school. I currently work as a stylist assistant at a men’s salon during the day, and then attend school at night. It’s a lot of work but I am so fortunate to be doing something that I love every day in the greatest city in the world.
The Miss New York USA pageant is a wonderful organization that gives young women a chance to reach their goals. It open doors to career opportunities, provides a platform to speak and raise awareness for causes we care about. With the title of Miss New York, I will spread awareness of mental health and self-care and show that a healthy lifestyle leads to a healthy mind.
Living on your own in NYC at 20 years old can be expensive, so any assistance is truly appreciated! All donations will go towards my entry fee to the pageant, as well as my training - which includes presentation and walking skills and interview training. This is a tax-deductible advertising expense, and if your business would like to sponsor me and be recognized in the pageant weekend program book, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
