Jana's Broken Heart

Jana has a tumor in her heart that is life threatening. Surgery last year to remove it was a disaster. Her aorta was torn during the operation,  and the next 8 hours were spent trying to save her life. Her condition was critical, and the doctors weren't able to remove the tumor. She spent 32 days in CTICU in a medically induced coma for most of it.  After an 18 month recovery, the doctors  sent her to the Cleveland Clinic for evaluation.  They said the tumor has doubled in size, and surgery is the only option. She has to return for more tests,  then surgery will be in  August. It's over 400 miles one way, but we're confident it's her best chance for survival, so we'll make it happen.
Now, her husband has to have major surgery in July. He'll be out of work for 2-3  months, so their finances will be tight even before Jana's surgery.

She doesn't know we're doing this -she would say that other people need it more,  but she does need help. She would never ask for it, so we're doing it for her. She's been fighting for her life since she was 18. She needs a break!
