Moving to Burundi!

In 2013, I have the amazing opportunity to volunteer teach in Burundi, a small nation in East Central Africa. I have committed to staying there for a year. The Lord has done an incredible work in my heart and in my life to make this possible but I cannot do it alone. I implore you to PRAY FOR ME as I embark on this next adventure in my life, and if you feel compelled to, please consider supporting me financially as I am fundraising to buy a plane ticket, insurance, and a visa. 1. PRAY FOR ME. I cannot express this enough. I have no idea how to teach Africans and with my tutoring job, I'm realizing that I have a lot to learn about educating in general. Not to mention, I haven't lived further than 45 minutes from my family EVER. Homesickness may ensure. I covet your prayers. Thank you.

2. See what God would have you do to get involved with what He is doing in Burundi. This may include doing research about the country and telling others about it (Burundi is one of the five poorest countries in the world and has the lowest GDP per capita of any nation). This surely includes praying for this nation. Youth for Christ Burundi is an incredible organization that is doing great things in Burundi. Perhaps the Lord will lead you to get involved with them.
