Courtney Strong

At the age of 5, Courtney was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on the flat bone above her right eye. She had surgery to remove the tumor and started chemo therapy right away. She did great for 3 years, until the cancer returned at the age of 9 and underwent therapy again.

After living with cancer and surviving, Courtney went to live her life by helping others through joining various organizations. She attended USC Aiken in the field of Early Childhood Education. During her Sophmore year in college, she started to have shortness of breath and swelling. She went to several different doctors only to be sent home with a diagnosis of asthma. She progressively got worse and went to the emergency room. From there, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure that was stemmed from the chemotherapy she received as  a child. Her heart was functioning at a 7% ejection fraction. Through medication and excellent physican care, she returned to a normal heart function and her everyday life. 

In November of 2017, Courtney went into heart failure. However, through different trials of medication, she is in need of a heart transplant to save her life.

While in heart failure, she was unable to work and will not be able to return until she is completely recovered from the transplant. Please consider donating  to help with any financial need that she may have. (transplant, medications, bills)  The average heart transplant cost is 1.4 million dollars. My hope is that she can just focus on getting better. 

Courtney is a Survivor. She has survived cancer twice, heart failure twice, and will now a heart transplant.  GOD is a healer and is using her to spread his word.
