Jamie's Volunteer Trip to Ghana

Hello everyone! My name is Jamie and I am hoping to go on a volunteer trip to Ghana, Africa!! I have wanted to volunteer somewhere abroad for as long as I can remember and now I'm hoping to make that dream come true. The purpose of this trip and my role as a volunteer would be to help educate young, disadvantaged girls who live near the town of Tamale, which is in the Northern part of Ghana.
The benefits of educating young girls in third world countries are enormous. Education not only aids in decreasing poverty, but also reduces rates of HIV/AIDS, lowers rates of pregnancies, increases the nutritional value of foods women give to their families, and boosts economic growth, to name a few.
The funds I'm requesting would be used for covering the following things: the cost of the volunteer program, airfare to and from Ghana, airfare to Tamale once I arrive and airfare back to Ghana when I'm leaving, vaccinations and a visa that's required to enter the country, mandatory travel insurance, personal safety items needed for the trip, and local transportation to and from the location of the school where I'd be volunteering.
I would need the funds for this trip as soon as possible, preferably during the next couple of weeks. I'm aiming to leave on March 3rd, 2018, which means that the deadline to pay the fee to the volunteer company, as well as get everything else that's needed, is quickly approaching.
It's difficult to put into words how much receiving the funds to go on this trip would mean to me. Going on a volunteer trip has been a dream of mine for years. Not only would it be an amazing travel experience, but I would be getting to help young, vulnerable people who really need it. For those of you who don't know, I work for a non-profit agency called The Elizabeth Fry Society. I work with young girls who are struggling with numerous issues. Their struggles may range from poverty, abuse, and lacking education, to being a pregnant teen who's bouncing from shelter to shelter, receiving no support from their family or friends. With that said, I chose this trip because it made me feel the same passion I felt when I decided to work in the field that I do.
