Many of you know my story. For those who don’t, my partner Stephanie and I have been charged with cannabis offences relating to supply. These are “aggravated supply a dangerous drug” ; “produce a dangerous drug” and “process dangerous drug”
The “dangerous” drugs involved were THCa and CBD. They were for our 5 yr old autistic son Callum.
Most of you would know that these are non psychoactive. Queensland police don’t know the difference
As much as I believe that I, and his mum are NOT GUILTY of any crime, legal advice, the “justice” system and circumstances dictate that we plead “guilty”.
So on the 10th December 2018 Stephanie and I are being sentenced in Rockhampton Supreme court. I face a possible max sentence of 25 yrs in Jail.
Our only crime was in seeking a better quality of life for our son. Since we started him on the protocol we noticed a marked improvement in him. His teachers noticed a massive improvement, so much so that they jokingly asked: “what did you slip in his drink?” His communication skills improved, his behaviour issues were non existent and he was focused on what they were trying to teach him.
Its been a long and difficult 12 mths since being charged. I have lost my ability to earn an income because my blue card (that enables me to work around kids) was taken from me. As a consequence I lost my income and a contract putting up shade sales in pre schools etc. I have been through the legal aid roundabout and finally I have found a legal team who come recommended by the cannabis community and who will fight for the best results.
I cannot fight this alone and I don’t want to go to jail so I am asking for your help. I need to find $14800 for my legal bill for my barrister and solicitor. I am appealing to you in hope you can spare a few dollars to add to this gofundme appeal.
I'd like to end on this note: I am thankful for and appreciative of, the support I have had from my facebook friends. My family and I would like to thank you all. As much as we hate to ask, we would be very grateful for any donation large or small.
Finally, if anyone is in Rockhampton on 10th December we would sure appreciate your support at the Supreme Court, Cnr East and Fitzroy Streets from 8.30 am. A small but respectful crowd would also re reinforce the public interest in these issues.
