Meet James Matthew (JM). His family is a close friend and co-worker of mine. They have expended all financial resources, taken loans, has researched numerous hospitals and truly needs your help. This family is hardworking, passionate, and grateful for any help the can receive. Please also keep them in your prayers.
JM is an adorable 2 year old boy who lives in the Philippines. He has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. He also has Primary Koch Infection (similar to tuberculosis). His family does not have medical insurance to cover tests, treatments (chemo), medications, and medical costs. Medical care is different in the Philippines than in the US. The treatments must be paid for at the time of service. The problem is, they are out of money. The truly don't know what they are going to do. That is one reason why I started this fund. Without help it is impossible for JM to get the care he needs.
JM needs chemo treatments 3 times per week. These treatments cost $600+ and have to be paid at the time of treatment. Please join along side of me and help financially. His health and life depend on getting these treatments. He can not get the chemo without our help.
I have a niece this same age and I can't even begin to understand as a mother or aunt what they are feeling. I can't wrap my head around not knowing if my child/niece we're going to get the help they needed. When I put myself in their shoes I can't help but be heartbroken.
His family and community are devastated. JM will need to be secluded most of the time as to not come in contact with any bacteria. This is heartbreaking for his family and friends.
JM needs chemo now. His platelets have been as low as 3! He has had multiple blood transfusions and needs further care. He already feels terrible. He is lethargic and not himself. This is going to be a long road for him and his family, but we believe he will be healed and healthy again!
