My life has been pockmarked with all manner of disadvantage that was condusive to me "not makeing it". I was given up for adoption at the age of two. Foster care until the age of five. Adopted into an abusive, alcoholic household. At the age of 12 and a half I started running away from that home at which point I was introduced to Institutions of all types psychiatric among them, put back into foster care which then moved me from Montana to Seattle. At this point I was in High school were alcohol and drugs became more and more of a daily routine. I dropped out of high school at the age of eightteen as I had less than enough credits to graduate, became homeless for some time before I got into Job Corps in Oregon were I managed to acquire my GED and from there I moved to San Francisco were I promptly got into trouble and was asked to leave the Job Corps facility there. From that point there were more alcohol and drugs which brought me to my knees 7 years and 10 months ago in Washington DC. Five years ago I started my collage education. I got a FAFSA, (Federal Student Aid) student loan, (Federal Subsidized and a Federal Unsubsidized), but as many of you may or may not know, there is a limit, ($57,500)In December I will have reached that limit and, No More Funding. I did apply for a private loan, (which I didn't want to) and they took less than a minute to Deny me saying I needed a co-signer. From that point I have been, and continue to fill out scholarship applications but I am one of many. So I am asking for help from you all. Help me finnish my goal of obtaining my Bachelors in Human Services/Counseling at Post University in Waterbury Connecticutt. Any thing you can send would be greatly appriceated but my goal is (at least $40, 000). I still have two and a half to three years left but closer than when I started five years ago.
