Help James to fight Cancer

Donation protected
In May 2016, our dear friend James (40) was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer with metastasis in his liver. This news came completely out of the blue and was very shocking to James and everyone around him - particularly as James and his wife Greidy are excitedly expecting their first child in October.

Pancreatic cancer is an extremely aggressive form of cancer, which is largely asymptomatic in it's early stages and therefore tends not to be detected until the cancer is advanced. James's cancer is inoperable and UK doctors have not given any hope for a cure.

James will be travelling to Mexico on the 14th June to commence treatment at a specialist clinic. He explains why he chose this particular treatment pathway:

'I had everything that I had ever wanted. I finally had met the love of my life and we married two years ago when I was 38. We had lived with my parents for two years while saving desperately to buy our first home. Then in February this year the icing on the cake – our first child was on the way, we were so happy! But on May 5th 2016 a bombshell hit us. The discomfort that I had been experiencing in my lower ribs turned out to be life threatening! After many hospital appointments I was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic and Liver cancer with extensive tumours and was given a prognosis of five to twelve months to live. I could not believe it! ‘I never thought it would happen to me’...as the saying goes. The past weeks have been a rollercoaster of discovery, such a shock to all....so much emotion, sadness and tears. I was generally fit and well, didn’t smoke or drink... but cancer struck.

The only allopathic treatment on offer to me was very strong chemotherapy drugs, which would only be palliative care with 'no cure'. This would have debilitating side effects giving no quality of life. So, for many reasons I have decided to follow a natural path of healing which I know will do me so much good and will heal me... for that I’m sure, after all, what have I got to lose in trying!

My family and friends have been so supportive and helped in lots of research in order to make an informed choice, especially my wife and twin brother Pete, they have helped so much, been there at all appointments and medical contacts and have been a rock. The 'natural' approach seemed the most hopeful, but treatments of course can cost a lot of money. Simply put, it consists of a strict lifestyle change of adhering to an organic diet and specific supplements to bring about detoxification and chemical balance in the body; along with other special treatments at a medical clinic where the regime focuses on restoring a strong immune system. They have had reports of excellent results. Unfortunately, this is only available overseas but I feel this is my only chance of seeing my child and becoming the father I always wanted to be. Upon returning home there will be a further two years of strict nutrition and detoxing'

James and Greidy are two of the loveliest, kindest people you could possibly meet and are devoted to each other. We are fund raising to raise money for James to travel to Mexico for treatment at the Gerson Center.

We would be very grateful for any donations, however large or small.

Thank you so much for your help.
