A brief letter from Debbie:

If you have not already heard, James Lewis had a massive stroke on Monday, July 15, 2019 around 8:30am. Since then, he has been at Grady Hospital under the most special care by the best doctors in Georgia. It has been a very long and challenging process, but through it all, we know God is in control and has been with us every step of the way. The children have been doing a wonderful job taking care of the family business, and we know James would be very proud of them if he were physically present. That is a good thing about having a family business. It keeps running! We are not going to lie, it has been tough. However, James has made progress and we give all honor, glory, and praise to God for that. He will be discharged soon from Grady, and will be moved to a long term acute care hospital (LTAC). We honestly don't know how much things will cost, but bills are pouring in. We are just praying that if God lays it on your heart to help in any way possible, you will do as such. Whether it's $10, $100, a meal, or a hug and a prayer, we as a family appreciate it all very much. God supplies all our needs and has been doing so each day, but His Word also tells us that we have not because we ask not. We are believing for complete healing and complete restoration, so please be cautious in the words you use for there is life in death in the tongue. We know God is doing a miraculous work in James; a son, a husband, a father, a care giver, a business man, and so much more to those who know him in Carrollton and the surrounding areas. We are thankful for those who give in any shape, way, or form. Please keep us all in your prayers as we take this journey day by day, step by step, moment by moment, and PEACE BY PEACE!
