<div>Hello, I am Julie King, a business partner and long-time friend of James Wanless. With great sadness, I report that James was randomly assaulted on the street outside his apartment in Los Angeles on Aug 13, 2022. He has severe head trauma, which caused some bleeding on the brain and two cracked vertebrae in his neck. On Aug 15, James had successful neck surgery and is still on a ventilator. He is battling pneumonia and has started to respond with his eyes. The doctors say he has a long recovery ahead of him.

<div>It will be some time before James can work; hence the need to raise funds for his living and medical expenses. As you know, his zest for life is profound! He has been excited about his work in Japan, new courses, art projects, and the Sustain/Nature deck publication in spring 2023. Since he cannot handle daily living tasks at this time, I am using our Merrill West Publishing account to keep his bills up to date and paid. I am watching over his website and product sales.
