Hi folks : James is currently in surgery here at Mayo Hosptal Phoenix, getting a new kidney and pancreas, all thanks to God and the kind donor. He has a long way to go but it’s certainly looking brighter.
After surgery we have to stay locally here in Phoenix for 5-7 weeks for follow up with his transplant team. Unfortunately his insurance does not cover this and we need some financial help as soon as possible.
He will be in the hospital until about March 29, and then we hope to move into a Transplant Care room here on campus at Mayo. The cost is $45 per day, which is still cheaper than a local hotel plus food and incidentals. While waiting on a room to open up we may have to stay in a hotel (eek, $150 / day).
Other than this urgent financial need, we covet your prayers for no organ rejection and speedy recovery.
Please spread the word to as large an audience as you can, even if you yourself can’t give. You can pray and network for us. That will help immensely.
