James (Jimmy) Memorial Fund

It is with big regret and immense sadness that I have to inform everyone of the heartbreaking news that Jimmy Hojnacki, age 19, has died. About 5 months ago Jimmy experienced something so heartbreaking. He started his long battle in the hospital with a brain injury. Our family never gave up and we watched small miracles happen everyday. He went from being in a coma to these past few weeks saying small words and recognizing people. The battle was far from over but he was progressing. Our hearts filled with so much hope that even though he still had a long journey, we were going to get our Jimmy back. Jimmy was responding to questions and my cousin Patty even got to hear him say, "mom" again. On Tuesday, early morning, Patty got the unexpected phone call that he had passed. Words cannot explain how devastating this is. I cannot imagine what my cousin is going thru. No mother should have to bury their child.
Her family is trying to raise money to help with the costs of any funeral arrangements but also to help her with the long hospital stay costs. Even if it is 10 dollars. All is appreciated. Patty is a single mom who spent the last 5 months working full time and being with Jimmy at the hospital every single day. She showed amazing strength and courage, speaking up to nurses and doctors when something didn’t seem right. She is the strongest woman I know, and now she needs our help. Please help in easing some of this financial burden so she can just concentrate on what needs to be done for Jimmy.

               GONE FISHING
I’ve finished life’s chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I’ve been invited to the fishin’ hole.

Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don’t worry, or feel sad for me,
I’m fishin’ with the Master of the sea.

We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won’t be long you will see,
Till we’re together you and me.

To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I’m missin’
Just tell ’em I’ve gone fishin’
