James Hickman has been a driver/mentor/friend Of Skyline Courier & Logistics for more than 15 years. He has been a faithful team member through many trails and tribulations over that time. He has trained the great majority of our current driver pool, and is invariably smiling and pleasant to all he encounters.
Much to our dismay, James suffered a major stroke while visitng his family in Mississippi over Christmas. He is currently recovering in a Jackson, MS hospital with his wife and family at hand. Currently, he is suffering from partial paralysis to his left side. We anxiously await good news about his outlook for recovery.
Skyline's drivers are independent contractors, which is synonymous with being a a self-employed business owner. While offering many advantages of being one's own boss, an independent contractor is often challenged in finding and purchasing affordable insurance coverage to protect themselves and their families from unexpected hardships such as this one.
